Pop Pops Fabulous Paleta To Open In Former Juice Crafters Space In San Diego's Little Italy

December 1, 2020

Replacing Juice Crafters in the heart of San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood is Pop Pops, a pop art inspired paleta ice pop shop set to open by year's end.

The San Diego locations of Juice Crafters were recently rebranded to become Parakeet Juicery, and the Little Italy branch was merged into nearby sister concept Parakeet Cafe. The former Juice Crafters space has been taken over by local real estate agent Shira Ladelsky and her husband and longtime planning director Nissim Levy who are in the process of converting the quaint retail unit to become Pop Pops Fabulous Paleta.

"Our concept is based on pop art, giving our clients both a visual and a taste experience in a fun environment," explained Pop Pops co-founder Shira Ladelsky. "We always loved making paletas at our house and it prompted us to take a course in making paletas in Mexico. By opening Pop Pops, we are sharing the love with all of San Diego"

Pop Pops will have an "insta-worthy" design and feature a menu of flavored paleta popsicles, paleta waffles and paleta shakes & smoothies, as well as vegan and sugar-free options. Each paleta will be made with fresh ingredients, including charcoal and real edible gold, with the option to make any version into into a drink. Expect flavors like Belgian chocolate, peanut butter cup, arroz con leche, spicy mango lime, mint, chia and more.

Pop Pops is anticipated to open at some point this December at 1740 India Street in San Diego's Little Italy. For more information, follow the company on Facebook and Instagram
