A Full Service Dog Facility & Beer Garden Is Set To Open In San Diego

February 11, 2021

A canine care facility and beer garden is in the works for San Diego's mid-city. Billed as a "place to play, socialize and relax - for you and your dog," The Dog Society is anticipated to open by this spring.

From Sara Broetje, who also owns The Pooped Puppy daycare and boarding in La Mesa, The Dog Society is currently installing in the 8,500 square-foot, round standalone building that last housed Wyckes Furniture. Once complete, it will be a one-stop shop for dog owners, offering canine daycare, longterm boarding, an array of training services and grooming, all under one roof.

For dog owners, there will be an onsite cafe and beer garden featuring televisions, billiards, work spaces, and other games. The space will even have luxury boarding suites that boast calming music, a twin-size bed, aromatherapy, a high definition television and other amenities. Packages at The Dog Society start at $475 per month for a 1 year membership, which includes unlimited daycare, 20% discount on dog services and merchandise, access to VIP boarding list, and other perks.

The Dog Society is expected to open as early as May at 6331 University Avenue in San Diego's Mid-City area. For more information, visit dogsocietysd.com.
