Los Angeles-Based The Kluckin Chicken To Bring More Nashville-Style Fried Chicken To San Diego

February 13, 2021

The hot chicken trend is showing no sign of slowing down! The newest Nashville-style fried chicken concept to move into San Diego is Kluckin Chicken, a Los Angeles-based chain which is replacing Ivory Thai in Pacific Beach.

Wilson Manusyants and Vic Hairapetian opened the first Kluckin Chicken in November 2018 inside a pizzeria in Sherman Oaks, CA. A second outpost launched on Melrose Avenue in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles in spring 2019.

Like other Nashville hot chicken eateries, Kluckin Chicken has a menu centered around fried chicken tenders at various spice levels, although Kluckin offers a bit more variety in how the chicken can be prepared. Customers can get spicy fried chicken served on their own, as a sandwich in a long roll or slider bun, in a wrap, as a bowl atop salad, or in a quesadilla. The fast-casual eatery also offers fries, wings, mac n' cheese, coleslaw and fried pickles.

Kluckin Chicken is expected to open as early as this September at 2015 Garnet Ave, Unit #103, in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit thekluckinchickenso.com.
