Creative Creature Set To Take Over Former Stumblefoot Brewing Space In San Diego's North County

September 26, 2021

San Diego's 3-year-old Creative Creature Brewing Company is in the process of taking over the San Marcos space occupied for nearly a decade by Stumblefoot Brewing.

In 2018, homebrewers Derek Carnation and Andy Robles took over the long-dormant 933 square-foot space previously occupied by URBN St. Brewing to launch Creative Creature Brewing Company small-batch brewery. The following year, Creative Creature Brewing had plans to open an East Village tasting room inside Red Hat Coffee at 440 16th Avenue within the new Shift luxury apartment building in San Diego's East Village, but that project is no longer in the works. Creative Creature is currently in negotiations to take over the space at 1784 La Costa Meadows Drive, Suite 103, in San Marcos for a new tasting room and brewing space.

Creative Creature hopes to move into the San Marcos unit in the next month and be up and running by year's end. The craft brewery will maintain its original location in El Cajon. There is no word as what the future holds for Stumblefoot Brewing, as they have been on hiatus since the very start of the pandemic. We emailed the company and reached out via social media messenger but did not receive a response by the time of publishing.
