Inpasta Set To Bring Build-Your-Own Pasta Bowls To San Diego's East County

December 6, 2021

The San Diego hospitality company behind concepts like Greystone Steakhouse and Farmer's Table is nearly ready to unveil Inpasta, a build-your-own pasta bowl concept set to open later this month.

Inpasta is the product of Sicilian-born chefs and co-owners Vincenzo Loverso and longtime partners Alessandro Minutella and Alberto Mestre, whose San Diego Dining Group operates such local dining concepts as Greystone The Steakhouse, Osetra The Fishhouse, Osteria Panevino, Saltwater, Rusticucina, The Butcher's Cut, Fresh Catch Market & Grill, Breakfast & Bubbles, Allegro, and Farmer's Table. For this project, like with Rusticucina in Hillcrest, San Diego Dining Group teamed up with Executive Chef Marco Provino, who was also a found of Giardino - an Italian restaurant sited a stone's throw from the location of Inpasta.

Taking over the space that long housed Anna's Family Restaurant in Lemon Grove, Inpasta is a modern take on a traditional Italian food eatery, where the customer decides exactly what goes into their plate of pasta. Customers start with their choice of pasta type before choosing from sauces like alfredo, Bolognese, creamy pesto, Nonna Pomodoro, and vodka cream sauce. Then the dish is finalized with choice of veggies and protein. There is also a full menu with appetizers and entrees, as well as an onsite deli component offering an array of pre-made pasta dishes, house-made gelato, coffee, and fresh pizza made to order. Inpasta will also house a small market with seasonal Italian ingredients, including house sauces, fresh made pasta (packaged), Italian wine, beer, and more.

Inpasta is expected to open at some point this December at 8099 Broadway in San Diego's East County community of Lemon Grove. For more information, visit inpastasandiego.com and check out the menu below.
