Las Vegas-Based Clique Hospitality To Open Joya Organic Kitchen In San Diego

December 7, 2021

The Las Vegas-based hospitality company behind such San Diego hotspots as Lionfish in the Gaslamp and Serea at Hotel Del Coronado is opening Joya Organic Kitchen, a 4,000 square-foot, all-day eatery unveiling in early 2022.

Clique Hospitality was founded in 2001 by Andy Masi, the former Light Group founder and CEO, along with his partners Brian Massie and Shane Monaco. The hospitality firm specializes in "upscale, comfortable and trendsetting dining spots. Locally, it developed Lionfish, Oxford Social Club, and The Pool House for downtown's Pendry San Diego hotel, Serēa Coastal Cuisine at Hotel Del Coronado, three concepts at San Diego's Sycuan Casino, and oversees several venues in Las Vegas and Florida. Clique also has plans to build another luxury hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp in the spot where Dick's Last Resort and Gaslamp Strip Club once sat, and the company is in the process of launching Tekka Bar Handrolls & Sake in San Diego's North County community of Encinitas.

The next San Diego project for Clique Hospitality is building an all-day restaurant at the $164 million The Boardwalk life science campus in the Torrey Pines area of La Jolla. Dubbed Joya Organic Kitchen, the restaurant will be helmed on a daily basis by Clique Hospitality's newly-minted Executive Chef Ryan Bullock, who has a long career cooking in San Diego, including as Executive Chef of Island Prime/C-Level and Culinary Director of MiHo Catering Company. Bullock will work with Clique Corporate Chef Executive Chef Partner Jose "JoJo" Ruiz on developing the restaurant's globally-inspired menu. Joya will have indoor and outdoor seating open to the public and will also be available for booking for private events.

Joya Organic Kitchen is anticipated to open in first quarter 2022 at 10275 Science Center Drive, Suite 150, in San Diego's La Jolla. For more information, visit joyakitchensd.com
