Family House Of Pancakes Opens New Location After Being Displaced Last Year

March 20, 2023

A Family House of Pancakes location shuttered in National City early last year after 15 years in business, but the breakfast diner-like restaurant has reopened in San Diego's East County.

Family House of Pancakes is a morning-focused restaurant chain founded by the Spezzano family on Broadway in San Diego's South County city of Chula Vista in 1964. A second area outpost opened on East Plaza Boulevard in National City in 2006 but was forced to close in the beginning of 2022 to make room for a new In-N-Out Burgers location.

The new branch of Family House of Pancakes is now open on Broadway in San Diego's East County city of Lemon Grove. Like the original branch, expect a menu of no-nonsense, American diner staples, including an array of pancakes, omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, Benedicts, waffles, crepes, French toast, scrambles, combos, and even a long list of lunch options.

Family House of Pancakes is now open at 8053 Broadway Lane in San Diego's Lemon Grove community. For more information, visit familyhouseofpancakes.com
