Specializing in Mexican seafood, Tijuana's Mariscos El Cata is opening its first stateside location in San Diego's Old Town.
Two branches of Mariscos El Cata opened in Tijuana, MX, just last year, and the eatery has become a destination for authentic Mexican seafood dishes, including ceviche, seafood cocktails, seafood tacos and more. The family behind the restaurant recently took over the building across the street from Old Town Urban Market, which previously housed Yum Yum Africa, to open their first U.S. location in San Diego's Old Town neighborhood.Mariscos El Cata is expected to open this summer with a menu of elevated Mexican mariscos, including enormous seafood cocktails, seafood stew, aguachile, ceviches, and much more. The restaurant will also serve an array of Micheladas, beer and wine.
