The Vibe To Replace SKA Bar In San Diego's Normal Heights

July 19, 2023

The owner of Coffee 'N' Talk and Meraki Cafe has taken over the expansive space that last housed SKA Bar in Normal Heights for the opening of a new bar & restaurant concept called The Vibe.

This past spring, San Diego's 4-year-old SKA Bar & Restaurant shuttered in a mixed-use building in Normal Heights that also houses 11 luxury apartments. The space has a 4,500 square-foot ground floor dining area with rollup garage door windows and a 40-foot central bar, as well as a 2,600 square-foot rooftop dining space and bar with expansive views over Normal Heights and beyond.

The former Ska Bar space is in the process of being taken over by Remi Kaval, who owns two locations of Coffee 'N' Talk in downtown San Diego and Meraki Cafe in University Heights. Kaval will use the space for the launch of a The Vibe, a unique breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant with a full bar and house roasted coffee drinks.

The Vibe is anticipated to open by mid-September at 3250 Adams Avenue in San Diego's Normal Height.
