North County San Diego's Ebullition Brew Works Permanently Closes

January 29, 2024

San Diego's withering craft beer industry has lost another member as North County's Ebullition Brew Works announced its permanent closure.

Ebullition Brew Works was founded in Vista in July 2017 by Jan Buncher, Erik Dyrr and Jesse Richardson, with brewing operations headed by brewmaster Mike Reidy. In 2020, the company opened Ebullition Brew Works & Gastronomy within The Square at Bressi Ranch in Carlsbad. Last December, Ebullition closed its Vista brewery and began contract brewing its line of beers.

Today the company took to Instagram to announce its end and the closure of Ebullition Brew Works & Gastronomy at 2628 Gateway Road, Suite E135, within The Square at Bressi Ranch in Carlsbad. This is the latest in a string of brewery closures in San Diego. We published just last week that Oceanside's first craft brewery, Breakwater Brewing Company had announced its impending closure in San Diego's North County.  Other area breweries that have closed in the past year include Wild Barrel BrewingSecond Chance Beer Company, Rip Current Brewing, and Bagby Beer in the coming days, to name a few.
