Tarot-Themed The Seventh House Shutters In San Diego's North Park

April 4, 2024

Tarot-themed bar & restaurant The Seventh House has shuttered in San Diego's North Park and will be replaced by a new Italian eatery called Cacio & Pepe.

In late 2022, members of the team behind San Diego Dining Group restaurants opened a new restaurant called The Seventh House in the space that previously housed MétlBar Creamery & Cafe in San Diego's North Park. Owned by Farmers Table restaurant co-founder Alberto Morreale and longtime Farmer's Table bar manager Preston Cobb, Seventh House was an all-day restaurant focused on brunch, happy hour and light dinner service with a menu featuring elements of French, Mexican and American cuisine.

Alberto Morreale is in the process of converting the former Seventh House space to become Cacio & Pepe, a Roman Italian bar & restaurant. Expect a menu of traditional Italian Roman cuisine with everything from the classic Cacio e Pepe to Roman-style pizza. In addition to dinner service, the eatery will also house a full bar and offer weekend brunch. The Seventh House concept will continue on in short form as a speakeasy in the restaurant's rear interior.

San Diego Dining Group is also in the process of converting their Farmers Table restaurant in San Diego's Little Italy to become Vincenzo Cucina & Lounge, another Italian restaurant. Earlier this year, the company also rebranded The Heights bar & restaurant in the former Cafe Gratitude space in Little Italy to become a new dining concept called Roman Wolves Cucina Romana.

Cacio & Pepe is anticipated to open as early as May 1 at 2835 University Avenue in San Diego's North Park. For more information, visit cacioepepetrattoriaromana.com.
