In-N-Out Burger Opening New San Diego Location In SDSU College Area

May 23, 2024

California's beloved In-N-Out Burger is opening a new location in the College Area near San Diego State University.

In-N-Out Burger was founded in Baldwin Park, CA, in 1948 by Harry and Esther Snyder. The family-owned American burger chain is now headquartered in Irvine, CA, and has nearly 400 locations sited around California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, Colorado, and Oregon, with addition branches opening in Idaho and Tennessee in coming years. The beloved fast-food burger chain is known for its not-so-secret menu, which includes items like the "Animal Style" burger and fries that incorporate special sauces and grilled onions.

In-N-Out Burger has posted a notice of application for building permit revealing plans to build a new, 3,886 square-foot restaurant with 82 parking spaces on a 2.19 acre lot on El Cajon Boulevard where a Rite Aid once stood in San Diego's College Area. Expect the new restaurant to offer interior dining, outdoor patio seating and a drive-thru ordering system. This location will be the 23rd branch of the popular eatery sited in San Diego County.

In-N-Out Burger is expected to open in early 2025 at 6405 El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego's College Area. For more information, visit in-n-out.com
