Chase Sapphire Lounge Coming To San Diego International Airport

August 1, 2024

Chase is opening its newest Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club within Terminal 2 of San Diego International Airport.

Following the lead of Capital One and American Express, Chase has introduced its own branded airport lounges, offering a relaxing and unique pre-flight experience for eligible Chase credit card holders. With four locations worldwide, the footprint is small but expanding. Chase opened the doors to its first U.S. Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston on May 16, 2023. The second U.S. location opened at New York's LaGuardia airport on January 16, 2024. A branch is opening in Terminal 2 of San Diego International Airport later this year.
Chase Sapphire lounges feature local chefs, seasonal menus, curated cocktails, and amenities like meditation sessions, private rest pods, and facial treatments. For instance, the LaGuardia lounge offers a menu designed by NYC chef Joseph Leonard and coffee from Joe Coffee. The Boston lounge includes a taproom with local beers, gourmet coffee from Atomic Coffee, and a menu by Chef Douglass Williams.

The LaGuardia lounge also offers three Reserve Suites for an ultra-luxe experience, which can be booked through the Chase Mobile app. These suites, priced between $2,200 and $3,000 for three hours and up to eight guests, include champagne and caviar, exclusive menus, a wine list, in-suite entertainment, and private bathrooms with spa showers.
Patrons don’t necessarily need a Chase Sapphire credit card to enter Chase Sapphire lounges, but having one, especially the Chase Sapphire Reserve, certainly helps. The Reserve card, with its $550 annual fee, provides unlimited access, unlike the $95-annual-fee Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. To gain entry, card holders must activate the Priority Pass membership that comes with the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. These lounges, operated in partnership with The Club, offer free unlimited access for Reserve cardholders and two guests. The J.P. Morgan Reserve Card and The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card also grant access, but you'll need to activate their Priority Pass memberships.

Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club is anticipated to open by year's end inside Terminal 2 of San Diego International Airport. For more information, visit account.chase.com/sapphire-airport-lounge
