San Diego native chef Moira Hill is leaving her position at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe to become the new Executive Chef of Little Italy's Ironside Fish & Oyster.
Chef Moira Hill is an alumni of Grossmont High and graduate of San Diego Culinary Institute that has spent time in the kitchen at many area restaurants, including George’s at the Cove, Juniper & Ivy, Trust Restaurant, Waterbar, Campfire, Nolita Hall, and most recently led the opening efforts of two new restaurants at The Inn at Rancho Sante Fe.
After a year at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, where she worked with Clique Hospitality to open Lilian's restaurant and Bing Bar on the illustrious property, Chef Moira will soon return to San Diego's Little Italy to take the lead role at Consortium Holdings' seafood house Ironside Fish & Oyster. Expect Chef Moira to slowly introduce her commitment to zero waste efforts, sustainability and whole-food cooking methods at the iconic restaurant.
Consortium Holdings opened Ironside Fish & Oyster in early 2014 in the 4,500 square-foot 1920s-era Little Italy warehouse that was previously occupied by a wrought-iron gate-maker named Ironside. The raw bar, bakery and local seafood-focused restaurant was the first partnership project between Consortium Holdings and previous Corporate Chef Jason McLeod, who once received two Michelin stars while the executive chef of RIA in Chicago’s 5-Star Elysian Hotel. Chef McLeod left the employ of CH in early 2022.
