A kitchen fire reportedly broke out at Cannonball, a popular rooftop restaurant located at Belmont Park in San Diego's Mission Beach.
The incident occurred late Monday evening, just after 10pm as the restaurant was near closing, when flames were reported inside the eatery's kitchen area. San Diego Fire Station 21 swiftly responded to the emergency at the second-story eatery. Thanks to the quick action of the firefighters, the blaze was contained and extinguished before it could spread to other parts of the restaurant or the historic amusement park below.
While the exact cause of the fire has yet to be determined, an investigation is expected to follow to assess the origin and extent of the damage. It is believe there were no injuries.
