San Diego's North County is set to welcome A Lo Fresco, a new health-focused restaurant offering globally inspired dishes prepared without seed oils.
Owners Emilio and Olga first opened A Lo Fresco as a food truck earlier this year, dishing out a menu of toasts, bowls, tacos, wraps, and more. Dishes incorporate flavors from Greek, Mexican, Peruvian, Cuban, Korean, and other global cuisines with a focus on health-conscious cooking including the use of non-GMO produce, organic ingredients, and preparation methods that avoid frying and seed oils.
A Lo Fresco has taken over the space that last housed Fresh Healthy Cafe within North City mixed-use complex in San Marcos. The restaurant aims to cater to a wide range of dietary preferences, including vegan and gluten-free options, with dishes like Ocean Breeze Adobo Shrimp Tacos with fresh cabbage, avocado, cilantro, cherry tomatoes, tzatziki sauce, and verde sauce served with a side of black beans; and the Surf & Turf Protein Bowl with chopped romaine, quinoa, black beans, bell peppers, corn, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, avocado, shrimp, beef, and chipotle sauce.
A Lo Fresco is anticipated to open in early 2025 at 250 North City Drive, Suite 5, in San Diego's North County city of San Marcos. For more information, visit alofresco.com.
