The roughly 85,000-square-foot, two-level destination at 1650 Main Street West is designed as a one-stop hub for movement, recovery, dining, work, and family time - serving everyone from 90 days old to 90-plus. Wellness services span a five-room LifeSpa for massage and skin care, plus men’s, women’s, and family locker rooms fitted with sauna, steam, warm spa, and cold plunge. There’s a LifeCafe for smoothies, coffee drinks, and healthy meals (along with a full-service bar), and a complimentary work lounge for members squeezing in emails before - or after - the gym.
Inside, a 26,000-square-foot fitness floor anchors the club with rows of new cardio machines, resistance-training equipment, free weights, Alpha and functional training zones, and space for 1:1 coaching. Dedicated studios will host GTX, Pilates, Yoga/MB360, Barre, and large-format classes led by Life Time’s instructors, while an on-site recovery and PT lounge adds tools for mobility, stretching, and performance between workouts.
Outside, the resort-style pool deck is built for all-day hangs, complete with leisure pool, waterslides, ample loungers, and an outdoor bar and dining area. Pickleball gets its own footprint too, with three climate-controlled indoor courts and four outdoor courts for open play, lessons, and clinics—reflecting the sport’s surge across South Bay.
Families are a core focus. The Kids Academy offers daily programming and supervised care for children ages three months to 12 years, with up to 2.5 hours of activities per day ranging from sports and music to kid-friendly classes. As with Life Time La Jolla, the goal is to make it easy for parents to train, recover, and relax on the same visit their kids are playing and learning nearby.
“Life Time Otay Ranch will be a true destination for health, fitness and family connection in Chula Vista,” said Brian Gaeta, Life Time’s Vice President of West Coast Club Operations. “We’ve designed this club to bring our signature programs and luxurious amenities together under one roof so members of every age can move, recover, learn, dine and spend time with one another.”
