San Diego Restaurants Closures & Downgrades This Week (June 19 - June 25) Due To County Health Department Inspections

This is the weekly list of San Diego County restaurants and food facilities that have faced temporary closures and downgraded status due to health inspections from June 19 - June 25, 2026.

The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality performs thousands of inspections annually to ensure that food establishments adhere to necessary safety standards. When inspectors identify critical violations, they issue closure notices, mandating that businesses resolve the issues before they can reopen, as well as reduce the health grade of some establishments.

Below, we outline the recent week's closures and downgrades as detailed on the SDFoodInfo.org website and the specific violation list for each as reported by the health inspectors.

Black Bear Diner (605 W Vista Way, Vista, CA 92083) - Ordered closed on June 23 for Proper Handwashing Facilities - Minor; Holding Temperatures - Minor; Sewage disposal - Major; Fruits and Vegetables Washed - Out of Compliance; Storage of Toxic Substances - Out of Compliance; Equipment and Utensil Storage, Use - Out of Compliance; Wiping Cloths - Out of Compliance; Plumbing - Out of Compliance; Garbage and Refuse - Out of Compliance; Toilet Facilities - Out of Compliance; Premises, Personal/Cleaning Items, Exclusion Measures - Out of Compliance; and Floors, Walls, and Ceilings - Out of Compliance. 

Kuhi Kuhi Shave Ice (322 Palomar St, Chula Vista, CA 91911) - Ordered closed on June 23 for "No Violations found" (seemingly stemming from a Status Verification on May 21, 2026).

St Catherine Laboure Church (4111 Mt Abraham Ave, San Diego, CA 92111) - Ordered closed on June 23 for Hot and Cold Water - Major; Vermin - Minor; and Nonfood Contact Surfaces Clean - Out of Compliance.

Los Cabos Mexican and Seafood (760 E Vista Way, Vista, CA 92084) - Ordered closed on June 24 for Vermin - Major; Premises, Personal/Cleaning Items, Exclusion Measures - Out of Compliance; and Floors, Walls, and Ceilings - Out of Compliance. 

Donut Stop (1418 S Mission Rd, Fallbrook, CA 92028) - Ordered closed on June 24 for Vermin - Major. 

Ramen Ryoma (4475 Mission Blvd, San Diego, CA 92108) - Ordered closed on June 24 for Proper Handwashing Facilities - Minor; Holding Temperatures - Major; Food Contact Surfaces - Minor; Hot and Cold Water - Minor; Vermin - Major; Nonfood Contact Surfaces Clean - Out of Compliance; and Floors, Walls, and Ceilings - Out of Compliance.
