SanDiegoVille.com got the chance to a sample day two's participating establishments, including usual favorites barleymash, Blue Point Coastal Cuisine, and Whiskey Girl. For those who didn't make it out for the event, and for those that may not remember so well after imbibing at the Sam Adams Sky Lounge at Altitude, here is a recap of what you may have missed.
A one man band? Yessir - that means guitar, harmonica, singing plus a kick drum, high-hat, snare drum, tambourine, even live harmonies, all performed at the same time. Bandaloni has rediscovered this old tradition and by means of present day technologies, infused it with a modern makeover to wow crowds across the world and at our very own San Diego County Fair.
Paradise Point Resort & Spa's waterfront Barefoot Bar & Grill celebrates its 50th anniversary and welcomes summer with the Dos Equis Sunday Fun Day Summer Concert Series. Knock back some throwback drinks from the original 1962 menu like the Barefoot Blockbuster, and dine on nostalgic nibbles like ceviche tostadas and luau-inspired pizza as 60's and 70's cover bands and classic films play against a Mission Bay backdrop.

Behold Whisknladle, one of La Jolla’s many restaurant gems, where, in tune with their successful theme, good food, good wine, and great people come together. Whisknladle prides itself on working with farm-to-table products, making most of their food from scratch, and serving quality-driven, seasonally inspired food. After my very pleasing experience dining at Whisknladle’s sister restaurant, PrepKitchen, I had to give big brother a try.
We had the delightful opportunity to cover the 3rd annual I Love Poke Festival along the picturesque shores of Shelter Island at the Bali Hai restaurant. The event was a remarkable foodie festival highlighting Hawaiian cuisine and sharing Hawaii’s colorful culture with us “mainlanders,” including a competition amongst San Diego’s top chefs who were all vying to create the best poke dish in America’s Finest City.

About SanDiegoVille
SanDiegoVille was created in 2010 to report about all the fun & delicious happenings taking place around America's Finest City and we quickly earned a reputation for being a news source for and by those that shun archaic journalistic practices in pursuit of reporting the real story. We are a different kind of news site with no desire to conform to antiquated ideas of how many believe journalism should be. We pound the pavement for our exclusive coverage instead of waiting for permission to break news from the fancy public relations firms that regularly spoon-feed mainstream media sources their story ideas, influencing journalists’ opinions with freebies and fanfare. SanDiegoVille reports fairly on the top entertainment happenings and small businesses doing it right, while not shying away from hard topics and questions you won’t read in local publications where editorial direction is ultimately steered by the sales department. We are a concerted threat to legacy media organizations, and proudly so.
