Never a dull moment in the San Diego craft beer scene! Ballast Point has announced that another location is in the works, set to open in Little Italy in late summer 2013. The 9,000-square-foot facility on India Street will serve as the breeding ground for the company’s latest brewing experiments in a bold new move to expand their already popular selection of beers.

This new “neighborhood brasserie” will become a gathering place for locals to enjoy inspired cuisine, a welcoming atmosphere and sophisticated service.

Snow Summit Adventure Park Grand Opening on June 15th | Hike, Explore, Bike and Zip Line

Snow Summit Adventure Park, the first complete outdoor summer adventure park of its kind in Southern California, will hold an official grand opening on Saturday, June 15th at Snow Summit in Big Bear Lake. The grand opening will feature vendors and a live DJ in the base area at Snow Summit. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. in the Snow Summit Adventure Park base area.

Karl Strauss Brewing Company won four medals at the highly competitive San Diego International Beer Competition this week, as well as a Gold Medallion from the California Restaurant Association, tying for “Best Brewery."  These impressive wins will propel the company into the busy summer season, where sales are expected to continue at double-digit pace. “Our beer sales were up 30% in May, and these wins just validate all of the hard work we’re doing,” says Paul Segura, Brewmaster, Karl Strauss Brewing Company.  “We know there are a ton of great breweries in San Diego, so it’s nice to get wins like these when you know the bar is set so high.”
