From Beer Week’s annual kick-off event Guild Fest to individual brewery events, this 10-day celebration gives your readers multiple occasions to join the craft beer hype. Locals attending the beer festivities will have opportunities to sip fine craft brews from all over San Diego County, jam out to live local music, and nosh on paired bites. Del Mar Race Track's Fall 'Bing Crosby Season' Offers Fans Many Feature Events

Del Mar’s new “Bing Crosby Season,” which opens for a 15-day run this Friday, November 7, offers Thoroughbred fans features and special events on just about every day of racing throughout the month at the scenic seaside racing headquarters just north of San Diego. The fun starts with the Vintage Hollywood Fashion Contest on Opening Day, continues with food, drink, music and giveaway specials on the weekends and also includes various forms of “free” days on Thursdays and Fridays.

David Spatafore's Blue Bridge Hospitality (Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge, MooTime Creamery, Village Pizzeria, Lil’ Piggy’s Bar-B-Q, Coronado Coffee Company, soon-to-come Liberty Public Market) will continue its take over of Coronado when it opens the doors to the island’s only steakhouse, the collective’s sixth individual concept, Stake Chophouse & Bar, starting on Thursday, November 6 (not the 4th as reported by other publications). Helmed by Executive Chef Tim Kolanko, Stake will employ an all-star culinary and wine team and offer elegant cuts of meat grilled to perfection along with fresh seafood, farm-to-table dishes and sides, craft cocktails and a top notch wine and beer program.

Dine for Dignity to Help End Chronic Homelessness with Girls Think Tank's 2nd Annual Restaurant Week | November 3-8

Next week is Dine for Dignity, Girls Think Tank's second annual "Restaurant Week" of sorts organized to support programs designed to empower people to transition off the streets. Six local restaurants will donate 10 percent of their sales on a specific day of the week to programs including 24/7 public restrooms downtown (coming early next year), a free legal clinic for the displaced, survival backpacks and the Transitional Storage Center, where folks leave their belongings so they can be mobile without the burden of bearing their entire belongings. These programs have led to increase employment and education among San Diego's homeless population.

Hakkasan Group Announces New Concept for Stingaree in Downtown San Diego | Omnia San Diego to Open in Spring 2015

Earlier this year, global hospitality company, the Abu Dhabi based Hakkasan Group, bought a majority stake in James Brennan and Brian Malarkey's Enlightened Hospitality Group (Searsucker, Herringbone etc.), which included taking ownership of Stingaree nightclub in downtown San Diego. After much anticipation, Hakkasan Group has announced Omnia San Diego will open in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter in Spring 2015, replacing Stingaree.  The announcement of Omnia to San Diego comes shortly after Hakkasan announced the flagship location to take over Pure Nightclub in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
