Celebrate Sunday Funday the Irish way at the 18th Annual shamROCK event!  In celebration of shamROCK falling on a Sunday, the doors will be opening early to welcome over 20,000 Irish revelers into the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter.   The 18th Annual Miller Lite shamROCK 2013, presented by Jameson Irish Whiskey and The Field, will take place on the most sacred party day of the year, St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17th, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until Midnight.  Destined to be the largest Irish Celebration on the West Coast, this green bash will feature live Irish bands on the main stage, a 150-foot Irish Pub on the street, over 80,000 square feet of green Astroturf and two DJ Stages with amazing talent and much more!

Don your green and become Irish for the day as you enjoy the hottest line up outside of Dublin on The Field Main Stage. shamROCK is bringing together top Irish rock and punk bands along with Irish step dancing guaranteed to have everyone on their feet. The day will start off at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM with American Fiddle rock favorites, Lexington Field, who will rock your kilts off. Test out your river dancing as you watch elite Irish Dancers, step dance across the stage from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Next up is San Diego's finest Irish Rock music by The Fooks from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Party on down with your bagpipes as The Bricktop Blaggers play from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Then it’s time to get your scream on with the Celtic Rock music from the Young Dubliners from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, who are featured regularly on Jimmy Kimmel Live.  Next up is Celtic Folk music from the Sligo Rags as they take the stage from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Last, but certainly not least, will make all Irishmen dream of Californication as The Red NOT Chili Peppers take the stage from 11:00 PM to Midnight! Between sets you can dance to the DJ's tunes as they spin the hottest house and dance beats!

Looking to find the famed pot of gold?  Follow the traveling rainbow and caterpillar across the rolling hills of Ireland to one of the two DJ stages to “jiggy” with it to the hottest national and local DJs. Everyone will be lost in the Irish haze as the Electronic Ireland stage unveils itself on Fifth Avenue and F Street to rock the block! To check out San Diego’s favorite local DJs make your way over to the 150’ long Whiskey Irish Pub on 6th Avenue between G and F Streets. Dublin will have nothing on our pub, which will have lots of Miller Lite BEER and plenty of Jameson Irish Whiskey to concoct any of your favorite St. Paddy’s Day libations.   Your senses will be stimulated as 18 of the hottest go-go fairies dance above the bar with a mixed in river dancing performance to bring you back to Old Ireland. The DJ line-up will be announced on February 2, 2013, so stay tuned for the line up of this lucky charm of a night!

This year, shamROCK 2013 will take place in the Gaslamp on F Street between 5th and 7th Avenue’s and 6th Avenue between G and E Streets. The main entrance is located at 5th and G Street, which has served as the gateway into a celebration of green for over a decade with sell out crowds topping over 20,000 attendees.

Tickets to the greenest party in town are only $35.00 in advance and $45.00 on the day of the event. VIP tickets will be $55.00 in advance and $65.00 on the day of this Irish celebration! Your wristband into shamROCK will get you in-and-out privileges, as well as no cover and food and drink specials at over thirty of the Gaslamp Quarter’s and East Village’s hottest nightclubs and restaurants. Remember you must get your tickets early because this event will sell out.
