Joe & The Juice bills itself as "the most well-traveled juice bar and coffee concept on the planet." Easily spotted amongst a sea of corporate chains with its photo booths, open air ordering, and pop artsy atmospheres - each Joe & The Juice is more a la mode than the last. Founded in Copenhagen in 2002 by CEO Kaspar Basse, Joe & The Juice serves high-quality, natural, and organic ingredients in its freshly prepared juices, shakes, coffee, and sandwiches. With more than 70 stores to open worldwide in 2018 Joe & The Juice will be expanding its global presence significantly, and this will be San Diego's first branch of the burgeoning brand.
The Butchery is a full-service butcher shop known for high-quality meats, artisan cheeses, craft beers and wines. The three Orange County locations in Brea, Costa Mesa and Newport Coast are stocked with the highest quality beef, pork, poultry, and cheeses sourced from the finest farms, ranches, and purveyors. Selections can be hand-cut to order and include top choice and prime beef, grass-fed beef, all-natural pork, and poultry. Specialty meats like dry-aged beef and wagyu, as well as exotics like bison and venison, are also offered, along with locally made sausages, ground beef prepared in house and a full deli case. North Italia is the modern Italian, neighborhood restaurant from the Fox Restaurant Concepts, which is also opening a location in Fashion Valley Mall with a kitchen helmed by former Top Chef contestant Rich Sweeney. Every day at North Italia, the culinary team starts from scratch to create Italian favorites and seasonal dishes. Dishes like braised beef short rib with daily roasted root vegetables and creamy white polenta or the Prosciutto Pizza with mission fig, goat cheese and arugula are not to be missed.
One Paseo is a 23-acre, retail and residential development that will be designed by Kilroy Realty Corporation as a live-work-play environment in the Carmel Valley area of Del Mar. The complex will be laid out as a thoughtful mixed-use experience that integrates curated retail with an innovative office environment and modern apartments - all within one walkable site. Plans for the public spaces include designing a venue for well-rounded entertainment programming including signature events as well as seasonal and holiday gatherings. The public plazas that flow through One Paseo will offer a blend of tree-lined environments that include designated family areas and park-like experiences.
The retail portion of One Paseo is expected to be completed by December 2018, with residential units ready for move in during Spring 2019. The center will house two modern office buildings, 98,000 square-feet of retail space, and offer more than 600 residential units designed by TCA Architects.
