Josh Landan co-founded Saint Archer Brewery in 2013 and exited the company in February 2017, a year and a half after selling the business to MillerCoors for nearly $100million. Landan tested his hand in the non-alcoholic food and beverage sector with the launch of Villager Goods, a line of food, beverage and clothing products backed by many of the same action sports partners who helped to fund and market Saint Archer. Late last year, Landan launched three new businesses with the help of former Saint Archer VP Jeff Hansson and ex-market manager Anthony Levas. Held under the parent company, Ocotillo Holdings LLC, which raised nearly $4 million in funding, the companies include Scout Distribution (a craft-focused beer and wine wholesaler), wine label Claxton Cellars, and Harland Brewing Co.. Previous pro skateboarder and custom motorcycle designer, Max Schaaf, and former Stone Brewing Distribution account manager Lisa Govenar are among Harland’s nearly 50 investors.
The first kegs of Harland Brewing Co. beers have already made their way around San Diego, with initial batches of their IPA and blonde ale being produced at area breweries while the company's 37,000 square foot production facility at 10119 Carroll Canyon Road in Mira Mesa was under development. The beers have beenn available at area bars and restaurants and cans recently began rolling out. After opening their Del Mar tasting room, Harland will construct a tasting room at their Scripps Ranch facility and hopes to unveil a full-scale brewery and restaurant in Ventura, CA by the end of 2019/early 2020.
Harland Brewing's Tasting Room will be located at 3718 Paseo Place, Suite 1300, within the new One Paseo mixed-use development. For more information about Harland Brewing Co., visit harlandbeer.com
