Two San Diego Chefs Set To Compete On Next Season Of Bravo's Top Chef

December 12, 2019

Two San Diego chefs are signed on to compete in the next season of Bravo Network's hit cooking competition Top Chef.

Season 17 of Bravo’s Top Chef, dubbed the "All Stars LA" edition, will include San Diego's own Brian Malarkey and Angelo Sosa as cheftestants. Locally, Malarkey owns and operates Herb & Wood and Herb & Eatery in Little Italy, Animae and NIMA Café at Pacific Gate by Bosa in downtown San Diego, and the recently opened Herb & Sea above Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Malarkey was a contestant on Top Chef Season 3 in Miami. Chef Angelo Sosa is the Executive Chef of Death By Tequila in Encinitas and was a contestant on Top Chef Seasons 7 & 8. Juniper & Ivy and The Crack Shack chef Richard Blais will also likely be returning as a guest judge at some point in the season.

Top Chef Season 17 will debut on Thursday, March 19. To celebrate the series premiere, Universal Studios Hollywood and Bravo are joining forces for the inaugural Bravo’s Top Chef Food & Wine Festival to be held March 19 & 20, 2020.
