Bay Area's Pacific Catch Westcoast Fish House To Open San Diego Location

August 18, 2020

San Francisco-based sustainable seafood chain Pacific Catch Westcoast Fish House will open its first Southern California location next year within San Diego's Westfield UTC, taking over the space that last housed Smokeyard BBQ & Chop Shop.

Pacific Catch was founded in 2003 Chestnut Street in San Francisco by Aaron Noveshen and Keith Cox. The company now has 10 locations spotted around California's Bay Area. Advertised as a "West Coast fish house," Pacific Catch's menu is centered around wild-caught and sustainably raised fresh seafood dishes inspired by global styles found throughout the Pacific Ocean. Pacific Catch operates with an environmentally-driven ethos and has even partnered with the Surfrider Foundation, is a member of the Seafood Watch program, and is part of the James Beard Smart Catch partnership to maintain healthy, sustainable food sources.

The most southerly location of Pacific Catch is currently installing in the unit previously occupied by Smokeyard BBQ & Chop Shop within La Jolla's Westfield UTC. Like other branches, the restaurant will offer an expansive menu of appetizers, sushi rolls, tacos, poke, ceviche, bowls, salads, burgers, entrees and deserts. There will also be a full bar with specialty cocktails, California wines and craft beer.

Pacific Catch is anticipated to open mid-2021 at 4313 La Jolla Village Drive, #4365, inside Westfield UTC mall. For more information, visit pacificcatch.com and check out the menu below.
