Michigan-based fast casual sandwich chain Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteaks, Hoagies & Grill is opening a location in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter.
Founded in 2010 in Livonia area of Detroit, MI, by left handed restaurateur Sam Berry, Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteaks, Hoagies & Grill now has more than 30 locations dotted around Michigan, Texas, and Southern California. The first San Diego location will open in the 2,300 square-foot Gaslamp Quarter space that long housed a branch of Burger Lounge.
Like other locations, the San Diego branch of Lefty's will offer a menu of cheesesteaks, hoagies, chicken and corned beef sandwiches, fresh ground burgers, Coney hot dogs, wings, smothered potato wedges, salads, cheesecake, and sides like cheesesteak egg rolls, corned beef egg rolls, curly fries, fried mushrooms and more. Based on the success of the first San Diego outpost, up to 25 more area Lefty's locations may open in the future, as the company is currently following a fast expansion plan based on franchising.
Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteaks, Hoagies & Grill is expected to open by late summer at 528 Fifth Avenue in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. For more information, visit eatleftys.com.
