Learn about early San Diego through the foods they ate, both local and exotic! For the second year in a row, Old Town San Diego State Historic Park will proudly present A Taste of the Past on Saturday, August 2. A part of the Stagecoach Days, this event focuses on the interpretation of the important role of food, and how it represents the many multicultural elements of San Diego during the Mexican and early American period. Dutch oven cooking, canning, food dying, cheese making, and many other demonstrations will be taking place in the park plaza, and there will be a tasting tour for ticketed participants.
