After six successful bi-annual events in Las Vegas, Red Dragon is hitting the open road to bring the Great American Foodie Fest to San Diego from Friday, March 27, through Sunday, March 29, at Qualcomm Stadium. The Great American Foodie Fest will feature more than 50 of the nation’s top food trucks and food vendors highlighted by East Coast and Midwest favorite, White Castle, along with a number of celebrity trucks from The Food Network, History Channel, Cooking Channel and Travel Channel. White Castle, America’s first fast-food hamburger chain, will serve its signature sliders fresh for the first time in Southern California. On March 10, Point Loma’s favorite dog-friendly wine bar teams up with local truffle expert, Chef Andrea Davis of Andrea's Truffles, for the least nutritious but most mouthwatering pairing in San Diego.

On Thursday, February 26, Kitchen 4140 will partner with San Diego brewer Karl Strauss for a special prix fixe dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Each of the six courses will offer a Karl Strauss craft beer paired with Chef Kurt Metzger’s creations, resulting in an evening highlighting farm-to-table flavors alongside beers from one of San Diego’s foremost breweries. Exact courses are being kept under wraps until the dinner, but guests can expect a fair share of steak as well as the debut of a unique Karl Strauss beer created in part by Kitchen 4140.
