Bird Rock Oyster and Sushi Bar is now open for business, featuring an eclectic mix of menu items, including tostados, tacos, burritos, sushi and a wide array of seafood dishes that combine Baja and Japanese influences. The restaurant took over the former Station Sushi space, and although they're still awaiting some finalization, including the addition of a beer and wine license, they're eager to show San Diegans what they have to offer.

The Cohn Restaurant Group took to social media today to announce the permanent closure of grill-your-own-steakhouse, La Jolla Strip Club, which opened in December 2009. Based on the graphic posted, the space located at 4282 Esplanade Court in UTC will be used for an unannounced replacement restaurant concept by the Cohn Group. Gaslamp Strip Club remains open.
