Cocktail consortium Rumbling Tins Co. is hosting a young guns' bartender/cocktail competition at Sycamore Den in Normal Heights this Monday, August 25 at 5pm. Sponsored by George Dickel, Bulleit and Talisker spirits, the competition will give the next generation of bartenders from participating establishments, including Sycamore Den, Florent, Turf Supper Club, Craft & Commerce, Noble Experiment, Coin Op, Prepkitchen and more, a platform to compete and a chance to shine. The limited edition beer, which Coronado Brewing has dubbed 'SD Party Pilsner,' is being brewed for keg release.  The brewery will also donate $1 of each pint sold on the evening of August 20, to the San Diego Professionals Against Cancer (SDPAC), the nonprofit group that runs the annual San Diego Festival of Beer, to benefit local cancer charities.
