San Diego County Placed On California's COVID-19 Monitoring Watchlist With Impacted Businesses Advised To Prepare For Forced Closures Next Week

A record number of COVID-19 cases were reported in the past three days resulting in California officials notifying San Diego County it will be placed on the state's Monitoring List starting today, July 3. This is expected to result in the County closing or placing new restrictions on additional indoor business activities next week, including restricting any indoor dine-in service at restaurants, wineries and tasting rooms, as well as closing other businesses starting on July 8.

San Diego County Likely To Be Added To California's County Restriction List As Early As Monday, July 6

Based on San Diego County's surging COVID-19 numbers, officials have indicated that we are likely to be included on California's County Monitoring List by Friday and if triggers for modifying health officer orders remain for three consecutive days, San Diego would have to close indoor operations at restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, zoos, family entertainment centers, museums, theaters and card rooms as early as Monday, July 6.

California Announces Roll Back Of Certain Restrictions & Increased Enforcement Measures As COVID-19 Numbers Continue To Surge
At his news conference today, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced increased enforcement measures and the toggling back of certain precautionary restrictions due to surging COVID-19 statistics, including the closure of all state beach parking lots in Southern California for 4th of July weekend and the preclusion of many indoor business operations in certain counties.
