The East Village is expecting and this April, Table No. 10 delivers. The new restaurant at 369 10th Avenue arrives in just a few weeks located conveniently across the street from Petco Park. This is the first foray into restaurant ownership for Executive Chef Jason Gethin (formerly from Union Kitchen + Tap Encinitas). Partnered with Cooper McLaughlin who previously owned the location's previous inhabitant, The Corner, the duo gutted the inside of the building together. During the remodel, Gethin and McLaughlin got their hands dirty to ensure design and function emulated the long-time vision for the space.

Chef/Partner Chris Idso has raised Pacifica Del Mar’s Ocean Bar with a completely revitalized happy hour menu, making this the most significant change the bar has seen in over a decade. The menu now features an eclectic approach to midday fare at half the price, like lobster pretzel sliders ($4.50 during HH) with chilled Maine lobster salad and Old Bay aioli and goat cheese risotto arancini ($3 during HH) with San Marzano sauces and truffle cream. A rotating selection of flat breads like seasonal veggie and honey cured bacon with arugula pesto and a variety of tacos like blackened fish and pulled pork ($2.50 during HH) are part of the lineup as well.

San Diego alternative rock station 91X officially announced this year’s “91X X-Fest,” happening Friday, May 30 at Sleep Train Amphitheatre. Performing artists include 311, Panic! At The Disco, Iration, Phantogram, Bleachers, Kongos, Skaters, Cherub, and Sir Sly. A total of 12 bands will pack the final line-up. The remaining three bands on the bill, including a co-headlining act, will be announced on Monday, April 21.

OB Noodle House's second location at 4993 Niagara Street in the space previously occupied by The Blue Parrot is set to open to the public on Sunday, May 4, and it couldn't come soon enough. Since "The Noodle House" appeared on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in August 2013, waits have been insane, frequently more than 2 hours during peak times. As regular visitors of the Noodle House, we long for the days of 10 minute waits and very much look forward to #2.

Chef Amy DiBiase’s highly anticipated new dining concept, Tidal, will launch on April 10 on the west shore of Paradise Point Resort & Spa’s 44-acre island. Set in what was once a private home in the 1960s, the new 3,000-sq. ft. restaurant will offer panoramic waterfront dining on San Diego’s Mission Bay. Joining executive chef Amy DiBiase is Chef Kyle Bergman, who recently left his post at La Valencia. On February 17, 2014, Paradise Point's signature waterfront restaurant Baleen closed to make way for this new concept.
