Amy DiBiase is leaving her position as Executive Chef and General Manager of Paradise Point Resort & Spa's onsite restaurant Tidal to take a position with the Grand Restaurant Group, which operates Bellamy's in Escondido, the newly opened Ponsaty's in Rancho Sante Fe, and The Ranch at Bandy Canyon.

Café Madeleine will unveil its second location with a grand opening party scheduled for September 16. Adding to the original outpost, which first opened in South Park in 2010, the new European-style bistro and cafe will offer a menu of paninis, crepes, croissants, quiche, coffee concoctions and other French delicacies from a 1,300 square foot space at 2850 El Cajon Boulevard in North Park.

Knotty Brewing Co.'s downtown tasting room and brewery will unveil in conjunction with a grand opening party scheduled for Wednesday, September 14. Located adjacent to Knotty Barrel Gastropub in San Diego's East Village and occupying the space that previously housed Valentines Mexican Food, Knotty Brewing's 5 barrel brewhouse will be visible through a 9 ft. glass wall connecting both spaces and will pump out Old World style house brews, including a British Pale Ale, Grapefruit Blonde, Robust Porter and Belgian Witbier.

Gator By The Bay & The Bon Temps Social Club Of San Diego To Host Musical Benefit For Louisiana Flood Victims

To raise funds for Louisiana musicians affected by the recent Louisiana flooding, Gator By The Bay, the largest Louisiana-themed music and food festival on this side of the bayou, and The Bon Temps Social Club of San Diego, a non-profit organization that sponsors Cajun and zydeco dance events, will host a benefit concert on Wednesday, September 21, from 6-11pm at Tio Leo’s Mexican Restaurant in Linda Vista. Admission is $10 with all proceeds going to a Louisiana Musicians’ Flood Relief Fund. The musical line-up features seven top San Diego zydeco, blues and swing bands.
