Two weeks ago, on Sunday, March 30, more than 12,000 people filled 2.5 miles of streets in Pacific Beach to walk, skate, bike, scoot, dance, skip, and even do yoga during San Diego’s second-annual CicloSDias. San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, the main sponsor of the open-streets celebration, continues to receive thanks and positive feedback about CicloSDias and the healthy impact it had on the Pacific Beach community.

Some of San Diego's most high profile chefs will interpret the cuisines of India at Bombay Bazaar on Sunday, April 27, from 5 - 9 pm at SILO in Makers Quarter, all to benefit the efforts of Just Call Us Volunteers. Many of the same chefs devote their off time to working side by side with less skilled but willing workers to help Just Call Us Volunteers feed 8,000 meals to needy children, women and veterans throughout the year.

San Diego's homegrown family of restaurants, the Cohn Restaurant Group, spearheaded by husband and wife duo David and Lesley Cohn, will be bestowed with the nation's premier restaurant industry award for excellence in community philanthropy and giving. On April 29, 2014, the Cohn Restaurant Group will be awarded as the 2014 national recipient of the National Restaurant Association's "Restaurant Neighbor" award. The Cohns will accept the honor at a gala in Washington D.C. with hundreds of their restaurant industry peers in attendance.
