True Food Kitchen has partnered with nonprofit organization No Kid Hungry, to help end childhood hunger. Now through August 31, $1 from each Kids Menu item ordered will benefit the organization’s campaign to connect kids in need with nutritious food, and teach families how to prepare meals that are both affordable and healthy.

Unbeknownst to many, Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza has menu items for discerning palates, health conscious diners, and those with dietary specifications. It’s rare to find a restaurant that caters to Gluten-Free eaters as well as vegans, vegetarians, and everyone in between. On Saturday, June 20, from 8:45am to 12pm, AleSmith Brewing Company is hosting the first-ever AleSmith Mr. Padre 5.5K, a 5.5 kilometer run/walk to pay tribute to the late hall of famer, Tony Gwynn. Gwynn began his relationship with the AleSmith team in 2014 when they collaborated on the .394 Pale Ale just before his untimely passing. It was then that Mr. Padre expressed his desire to someday have a museum built in his honor – one of his final wishes that AleSmith will carry out.

American Idol To Host San Diego Audition For Series' Final Season On June 22 At Waterfront Park

Auditions for the final season of Fox's hit singing competition, American Idol, will take place on Monday, June 22, at downtown's Waterfront Park, from 9am to approximately 5pm. This audition is not like the one that took place on the USS Midway back in 2011 where all the Idol judges were present. Rather than being one of the 5 major audition, San Diego is one of the 11 smaller auditions where potential contestants will perform in front of producers rather than the actual judges for this season - Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban - who will not be in attendance.
