Joining a stellar lineup of local and national dining concepts at Del Mar's new One Paseo mixed-use development is the 5th location of San Diego's URBN Coal Fired Pizza, a New Haven-style pizza restaurant and beer house opening today.
Connecticut-native Jon Mangini launched got his start in the San Diego restaurant industry in 2006 with the launch of BASIC Urban Kitchen & Bar in the East Village and followed the success of his flagship New Haven-style pizza warehouse by opening the first URBN Coal Fired Pizza in North Park in 2009. Mangini has since opened URBN locations in El Cajon (which once had an onsite brewery component), Vista, and Encinitas.
URBN Pizza joins a dining & drinking lineup at One Paseo that includes Joe & The Juice, The Butchery, North Italia, International Smoke, Sweetfin Poké, Shake Shack, Parakeet Café, CAVA, SusieCakes, Harland Brewery, Salt & Straw, and still-to-open Ways & Means Oyster House, Tocaya Organica, Tender Greens, and Nick's Restaurant. Retail tenants at the live-work-play complex include Van de Vort, West of Camden, Whiskey + Leather, and SoulCycle.
