Cohn Restaurant Group's OB Warehouse To Shutter This February | Breakfast Republic & Coin Haus Locations Rumored To Move Into Prime Ocean Beach Building

The Cohn Restaurant Group's OB Warehouse in Ocean Beach, which opened in August 2014, will close after close of business on February 14. The Cohn's will renovate its prime building and use the first floor to house a second incarnation of the company's Coin Haus Beer & Games concept with the second floor going to Johan Engman for another Breakfast Republic outpost, launched in collaboration with the Cohn Group.

Chef Steve Brown Launches Cosecha Boozy Weekend Brunch

We recently announced that San Diego-native chef Steve Brown is opening The Shipping Yard restaurant in Imperial Beach and has taken over the former-Shima location in Coronado to have a brick-and-mortar space for his Cosecha pop-up meals. Chef Brown has also recently announced that he will start hosting Boozy Brunches at the Cosecha space in Coronado, launching January 28 & 29.

Johan Engman's Rise and Shine Restaurant Group, the hospitality collective behind Fig Tree Cafe, Breakfast Republic, and incoming North Park Breakfast and Pizza Republic, has added former Bracero Chef de Cuisine Claudette Wilkins as Research and Development Chef until she takes the helm as Executive Chef at the group’s new El Jardin modern Mexican restaurant opening its doors in Liberty Station in early 2018. Wilkins will also participate as a "cheftestant" on the next season of Top Chef México.
