Car enthusiasts from all over San Diego County will flock to the historic Gaslamp Quarter to take over 5th Avenue from E Street to L Street on Sunday, October 14th, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This timeless event is free and open to the public and will showcase high-performance automobiles and motorcycles ranging from the traditional classics to lavish luxury modern vehicles.

Old Town could not have been a more perfect setting for a week-long festival celebrating the Spirits of Mexico, and no better way to experience all of the vibrance of Mexico than the Main Tasting Event held on Saturday, September 15th.  Attendees were invited to taste many styles of world class agave spirits including tequila, mescal, sotol, bacanora, raicilla, liquers and more tequila!  Tray passed samples of classic Mexican dishes kept the lively crowd standing and civilized, mostly.

On Thursday, September 13th, the Center for Community Solutions (CCS) transformed the NTC Promenade at Liberty Station into a luxurious setting to host the 8th Annual Chef Showdown.  Featuring a head-to-head cooking competition, a silent auction, a live auction, tastes from more than 25 local restaurants, and beverage offerings from brews to spirits, the event raised over $150,000 that will go toward providing prevention and intervention support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse - a record fundraising for the Chef Showdown!

On August 2nd, the founders of SanDiegoVille Henry and Vanessa embarked upon a one-month unlimited yoga program at Corepower Yoga in Pacific Beach. After a month filled with plenty of sweat, clenching, grunting, stretching, and nearly puking and passing out, they fulfilled their goal of attending 20+ classes in 30 days, resulting in the winning of a free T-shirt and a complimentary unlimited month membership.
