A Multi-Sensory Art & Culinary Experience Takes Over Downtown San Diego's New IDEA1 Building On Saturday, June 30
On Saturday, June 30, from 7-11pm, the new mixed-used IDEA1 building in downtown San Diego will host Sensorium by Vanguard Culture, an immersive event where 15 condo lofts will be transformed into experiential, multi-sensory art experiences themed around the five senses. The Hub, IDEA1’s outdoor collaborative space will come alive with fine cuisine from signature chefs, live musical performances, sensory tents and a networking mixer. More than 75 artists will showcase their diverse work, including everything from visual arts to live dance, fashion, culinary arts, technology, and more.

Ahead of its anticipated September opening, the incoming InterContinental San Diego Resort has announced that Chef Amy DiBiase will be joining Director of Food & Beverage and longtime local chef Paul McCabe to lead the culinary program at the upscale high-rise. The luxury hotel will have five distinctive dining venues, each with gleaming views of the bayfront, including the soon-to-be-announced signature restaurant, the first-ever California location of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, The Reading Room 19th floor rooftop bar by San Diego's Consortium Holdings (Craft & Commerce, Ironside Fish & Oyster, Born & Raised), and an unnamed 4th floor pool bar and cafĂ©.
