San Diego Magazine’s Best of North County Party returns to Park Hyatt Aviara for the fifth year in a row on Friday, April 24, from 6:30-9:30pm. Guests can sample North County’s best restaurants, breweries, wineries and spirit companies all in one place. Attendees can sip and sample their way through the party as tickets include unlimited tastings. Live music, DJs, casino games, unexpected entertainment and a dance floor will cap off an unforgettable evening in a beautiful location. The party stems from the annual Best of North County feature, published by San Diego Magazine in the April issue.

Eric Leitstein and his OMG Restaurant Group (Union Kitchen, PB Alehouse) completely overhauled the space, pimping out the giant al fresco patio, back bar and exterior, and ramped up the menu to offer elevated yet laid-back items with PB flare.

The 2015 Dos XX Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo will be celebrating 32 years of tradition packed with activities for all ages as the Old Town neighborhood is transformed into the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration north of the border, filled with mariachis, cervezas, great food, and more. This free family-friendly festival takes place on Saturday, May 2, from 11am to 10pm, and Sunday, May 3, from 11am to 5pm.

The Mission Federal ArtWalk is making some changes to celebrate its 31st year in San Diego. Taking place on the weekend of April 25-26, this free-to-attend annual art extravaganza will feature a brand new footprint, as the festival will utilize Little Italy’s iconic India Street as a major location for the artist tents and vendors - shifting the entire festival a little closer to the heart of the neighborhood. Another highlight for the 2015 event is a very special tribute to Balboa Park’s Centennial celebration. The sprawling festival will cover 15 blocks in Little Italy, filling the neighborhood with more than 350 artists and an estimated 120,000 attendees for Southern California’s largest fine art festival.
