Table No. 10 Packs Up Shop In San Diego's East Village

Table No. 10 is no more. Following dinner service on Sunday, August 2, the restaurant has closed for business, open for only a little more than a year. Table No. 10 was a joint venture for executive chef Jason Gethin and Cooper McLaughlin, who previously operated burger eatery, The Corner, at the space. Rumor has it that the two owners could not come to agreements on several matters, so they closed their business, possibly readying the business/restaurant for sale.

San Diego waterfront restaurants The Fish Market and it's second story, upscale eatery Top of the Market have been closed since May 26 when over $1 million in damage was caused by a grease fire that took place during opening hours. After undergoing a partial remodel, The Fish Market will reopen for service on Monday, August 3. Top of the Market is anticipated to open this fall, as the restaurant is still recovering from the damage and using the tragedy to modernize its space.

Rumors are swirling that Miramar-based Saint Archer Brewing Co. is in talks with MillerCoors about selling out to the brewing behemoth. Saint Archer launched in April 2013 and immediately gained popularity on social media due to it's star-studded lineup of owners and brewery 'ambassadors', including professional surfers Josh Kerr and Taylor Knox, skateboarders Mike Taylor, Eric Koston and Paul Rodriguez, industry filmmakers and photographers Josh Landan, Atiba Jefferson and Jeff Johnson - and many others. The purchase of Saint Archer by MillerCoors would mark the first San Diego craft brewery to be consumed by the big beer industry.
